The Rajajinagar Education Society, established in 1967, was founded by a dedicated group of young visionaries committed to providing quality education. Following the reorganization of states in 1956, many government servants settled in Rajajinagar, facing challenges like inadequate schooling facilities and rising educational costs. To address this, they formed a society based on the principle of "Self-help is the best help" to create a school that would offer comprehensive education with a strong foundation in academics, morals, and discipline.
In June 1969, Sri Aurobindo Vidya Mandir began with just 30 students and three teachers. Over the years, it has grown steadily, expanding into multiple educational units, including Nursery, Lower Primary, Higher Primary, High School, and College. Today, the institution serves over 3,000 students, continuing its mission of fostering well-rounded individuals with strong ethical values.
